Chaitanya Vikas Mutually Aided Cooperative Thrift Society initiated by Conservation of Nature through Rural Awakening (CONARE) with aim to foresee social and economic empowerment of the marginalized and deprived women in the year 2006. The society was initially started with 93 women as its members and has now strengthened with 2000 active members.
 
Since the inception of Chaitanya Vikas MACTS is supporting its own members to increase their livelihoods through promoting various produces which suits the urban context. So far, the Society provided credit supports to the members from its own funds generated through member savings and financial operations.

Society thrives on member savings, strict policies, transparent
governance, timely loans, full recovery, profit reinvestment, and self-reliant
sustainable financial management.

Major Activities & Achievements So far:

Member reach from 90 members to 3500

Total savings mobilised so far is Rs. 1,90,80,000 (Interest added)

The total loan outstanding on members is Rs. 1,37,37,900 to around 1500 members

Conducted skill building trainings on Zardosi design work for 50 members, tailoring for 100 members, business training (EDP) for 100 members

Organised exposure visit for Board members to NIRD Rural Technology Park and Mulkanoor Society

Providing mutual insurance benefit to the members with the annual premium of Rs. 50 per Year and assured claim of Rs. 5000/-
